Looking for light Day 1

I’m beginning a new project.

In light of the war, inequity, and suffering in our world, I wanted to start a project where I could find an example of light, hope, beauty or magic each day and post it here. I know it’s out there.

I am out of the house most mornings at 6:30 or 7 to walk our dogs with my better half. I see the sun come up—or did before the clocks went back—and as I walk along the waterfront and see the sunrise, I think about how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to be alive.

If we can appreciate the little things, they’ll add up. Like collecting leaves or shells, I am collecting little signs of light. A commitment to doing one thing daily for an entire year is doable, right? Ideally, I’ll complete this project next year. Let’s see if I can do it.
