Day 22…learning to see in the dark
I have never been comfortable in the dark. I hear things and I see things and I sense things. But recently I have started going for walks in the dark with my other half and our dogs and I am becoming comfortable in the darkness.
As we were walking last night, a person walked past and as they did, they said “Isn’t it enjoyable to walk in the dark?” And I assumed she was a ghost, but wanting to be polite I answered anyway, that yes, it was, and my eyes were still adjusting. As we walked onto a second trail, the fog made everything seem bright. I think I even saw moss glowing. Some tree bark seemed to glow too. It was like seeing our regular trail with new eyes.
Even in darkness, there is light, if we look for it.
