Day 71…snowbound

When my eldest son was young, we used to watch a lot of Little Bear - a lovely show about a bear and his parents, mostly his mom, and his friends. It was a Canadian show based on the series of novels by Elsie Holmelund Minarik and illustrated by Maurice Sendak and we always watched it on CBC. During one episode, called Snowbound, when they are making ice cream in their cabin, they recite this poem -

"Whether the weather be cold, or whether the weather be hot. We'll weather the weather, whatever the weather, whether we like it or not."

I think of this poem regularly, no matter the climate - political, economic or otherwise. We’ll weather this.
