Day 93…sentinel
As I spend more time in the woods around the crows, I’ve noticed an interesting thing about these amazing birds. While they are often in large communities, they have single crows on the periphery who keep the others informed on things like food. They are sentinels. When you put down food for these singlets - they don’t just quietly fly down to enjoy it - they call out to the others to inform them that it’s there. At least that’s what I think is happening. They are sharing. They are looking after their community.
Might the world be a better place if we actually behaved like animals?
I think so.
